Extra Data for Kit 8-01
CB&Q XM-32 AAR 40-foot steel boxcar
These 10-foot, 6-inch inside height, 10-panel side cars were produced for the CB&Q, C&S, and FW&D. Cars were built in various years and equipped with various component parts. While the CB&Q classified 16,0000 boxcars as XM-32, our kit best represents about 4000 of the early cars built during World War II. Summaries of these various components can be found at the Steam Era Freight Car site in charts compiled by Ed Hawkins.
Resin Car Works would like to thank the following rail historians and modelers for their high quality work. Without their efforts, these kits would not have been produced.
