Kit 10.0 - Santa Fe Refrigerator Department (SFRD) RR-35, -36, -39, and -40 Reefers

The Santa Fe began updating their USRA design, fishbely centersill, wood sheathed reefers in 1936. This program rebuilt more than 10,000 reefers into modern steel-sheathed cars.

This Resin Car Works kit represents the SFRD rebuilds of the RR-35, -36, -39, and -40 classes built between 1944 and 1946 for a total of 1,360 cars. Each of these car classes had unique fan and running board hardware.

Kit 10.2 included decals for the “Ship and Travel …” lettering version

A pair of Tahoe Model Works truck side frames were included, but not couplers. Decals are included with a number of prototype options.
